LODGING

The organizers of the 2020 Advanced Accelerator Concepts Workshop (AAC2020) have canceled this year’s event due to an abundance of caution surrounding the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. This difficult decision was taken with the well-being of our colleagues, staff, and the local community foremost.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your interest in AAC2020. We will be in touch as we learn more in this rapidly evolving situation that affects us all.

Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory is unable to reimburse travel expenses, including any cancellation or change fees; please work with your home institution for this.

Wishing you the best of health in the coming months,

Eric Esarey, Chair, AAC2020

We encourage AAC2020 participants to stay at the workshop venue, Asilomar Conference Grounds. Staying on-premises offers an only-in-California experience and immersive opportunity for spontaneous interaction.

To learn more about lodging at Asilomar, click here.

When you are ready to book your room, go to Asilomar's secure reservation site at passkey.com. The link is given in your invitation letter. That link identifies you as an AAC2020 participant and ensures that you get our special rates.

Rustic appearance appropriate to the setting meets modern comfort and convenience in the Asilomar Conference Grounds housing. A variety of options are available at a special AAC2020 rate. Example rooms are shown here; visit Asilomar's lodging page for more information. A link directly to our special rates will be provided in your AAC2020 invitation letter.

Room Rates

What's Included?

Costs shown are for single occupancy (one person per room), double (two per room), and multiple occupancy.

Hotel accommodations and daily meals (except the AAC banquet) will be provided by the Asilomar Conference Center as part of your lodging fee.

The night of Sunday, June 21, we will have a Welcome Reception instead of the evening meal.

The night of Wednesday, June 24, we will go off premises, to The Barns at Cooper Molera, for the Event Banquet, which is part of your conference registration fee.

Note: Because the cost structure of AAC2020 assumes that attendees will be staying at Asilomar, a facility fee must be assessed for those who choose to stay elsewhere.

ROOMMATES AND GUESTS

If you would like to share your room with another AAC2020 participant, you can either specify a particular roommate or ask Asilomar to attempt to match you with someone. Select registration option 2, Roommate Request.

If you are sharing your room with one or more guests who will not be participating in AAC2020, choose registration option 3, Attendee with Guests.
